Mino Hashizume, a member of the Cleveland Orchestra since 1995, began her career with the Toronto Symphony, where she played for three seasons. She studied violin with Toshiya Eto and won first prize at the MTNA-Wurlitzer Collegiate National Competition and the Fort Collins Young Artist Competition in the USA. She studied baroque violin with Natsumi Wakamatsu at Toho School of Music in Tokyo, Japan. Ms. Hashizume plays the baroque violin with Apollo’s Fire in Cleveland, and has been featured as a soloist at the Aspen Music Festival, the Boston Early Music Festival, and the Indianapolis Early Music Series, among other places.
Jonathan Moyer maintains a dynamic career as organist, pianist and conductor. He is currently the music director and organist of the Church of the Covenant in Cleveland, OH. He has performed throughout the northeastern United States, Europe, and Japan, including such venues as Washington National Cathedral, Princeton University Chapel, St. Thomas Episcopal Church (NYC), the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove (NJ), numerous British Cathedrals, as well as the Dvorak Spring Festival in Prague and Vienna
Johanna Novom is Associate Concertmaster of Apollo's Fire in Cleveland, and performs with various ensembles throughout the country. She has been a principal player with NYS Baroque and the Dallas Bach Society, with whom she has also appeared as a soloist. The 2009-10 season included performances with Chatham Baroque and a concerto collaboration with American Bach Soloists as a recent First Prize winner of the ABS Young Artists' Competition. Johanna received her Master's in Historical Performance from Oberlin Conservatory in 2007, where she studied on both historical and modern instruments with Marilyn McDonald.
René Schiffer is a protégé of renowned baroque cellist Anner Bylsma. He received soloist diplomas with honors in both modern and baroque cello from the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, and later studied viola da gamba with Catharina Meints at Oberlin Conservatory. As a member of La Petite Bande (Sigiswald Kuijken), he toured throughout Europe, Asia and South America. He has also performed with the European ensemble Il Gardellino, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Les Musiciens du Louvre, and in numerous projects with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra. He can be heard on the Harmonia Mundi, Philips, Virgin Classics, Erato, and Sony labels.
